Drift 101

Learn the Basics

Get behind the wheel of our Toyota 86 GRs and experience real drifting with professional 1-on-1 coaching in a controlled motorsport environment. With a maximum of just 6 participants per car, you’ll receive plenty of seat time and personalized instruction to build real skills and confidence.

The Experience

Through 4 short theory sessions and 4 action-packed drifting sessions, you’ll work to master the following techniques:

• Non-countersteer donuts

• Countersteer control

• Handbrake drift into hard park

• Linking donuts with handbrake entries

What’s Included

• Professional 1-on-1 instruction

• Helmets provided

• Certificate of completion

• $35 Motorsport Australia Introductory Speed Licence (valid for the day)

Requirements

• Age: 12 years or older

• Experience: Basic driving or go-kart experience

• Waivers: All forms for Calder Park Raceway and Motorsport Australia must be completed digitally before your session

Note: Our instructors are dedicated to pushing your limits, but it’s important to remember that drifting is a high-level technical discipline. We guarantee the quality of our coaching and track time, but we cannot guarantee specific milestones. Your progression is dependent on your ability to apply feedback and your individual learning curve.
