Drift Academy Cancellation & Refund Policy
By completing a booking with Drift Academy, you acknowledge and agree to the following Cancellation and Refund Policy. This policy forms part of the binding agreement between you (“Participant”) and Drift Academy.
1. General Policy
All bookings are subject to this Cancellation & Refund Policy. Your booking secures a limited event position and requires Drift Academy to commit resources, staffing, venue arrangements, and operational costs in advance. As such, cancellation terms are strictly enforced.
2. Cancellations More Than 14 Days Prior to the Event
Cancellations made more than fourteen (14) days before the scheduled event date are eligible for a refund, less a mandatory 15% administrative fee.
The 15% administrative fee covers non-recoverable costs including, but not limited to:

Payment processing fees (including Shopify and third-party transaction fees)

Administrative handling
-
Booking and merchant service charges
Refunds will be issued to the original payment method only. Processing times may vary depending on your financial institution. Administrative fees are non-negotiable and non-refundable.
3. Cancellations Between 7 and 14 Days Prior to the Event
Cancellations made between seven (7) and fourteen (14) days prior to the event are not eligible for a monetary refund.
At Drift Academy’s sole discretion, a non-transferable gift card may be issued for the full booking value. Gift cards:

Are valid for future Drift Academy bookings only

Are not redeemable for cash
-
Are non-refundable
-
May be subject to expiration terms
4. Cancellations Within 7 Days of the Event
Cancellations made within seven (7) days of the scheduled event date are strictly non-refundable and non-transferable. No refunds, credits, or gift cards will be issued.
5. No-Show Policy
Failure to attend the scheduled event without prior written notice constitutes a “No-Show.” No-Shows are not eligible for refunds, credits, transfers, or gift cards under any circumstances.
6. Rescheduling
Rescheduling requests are not guaranteed and are subject to availability and Drift Academy’s sole discretion.
If approved:

Rescheduling may incur an administrative fee.

The new event date must fall within a timeframe specified by Drift Academy.

Only one reschedule request may be permitted per booking.
Drift Academy reserves the right to deny rescheduling requests for any reason.
7. Exceptional Circumstances
Requests for consideration due to severe illness, medical emergency, or extraordinary circumstances must be submitted in writing with supporting documentation.
Drift Academy reserves sole and absolute discretion in determining whether:

Documentation is sufficient

An exception will be granted

Any credit, transfer, or alternative arrangement will be offered
Approval of exceptions is not guaranteed and does not set precedent for future cases.
8. Event Cancellation or Modification by Drift Academy
Drift Academy reserves the right to cancel, postpone, or modify any event due to circumstances including, but not limited to:

Weather conditions
-
Mechanical issues
-
Venue restrictions
-
Safety concerns
-
Force majeure events (including natural disasters, government actions, or other events beyond reasonable control)
In such cases, Drift Academy may offer:

Rescheduling to a future date; or
-
A credit toward a future event
Refunds in these circumstances, if offered, may exclude non-recoverable processing fees.
9. Chargebacks & Payment Disputes
Initiating a chargeback or payment dispute in violation of this policy constitutes a breach of agreement. Drift Academy reserves the right to:

Dispute the chargeback with supporting documentation

Recover administrative, merchant, and legal costs incurred
10. Agreement to Terms
By completing your booking, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to this Cancellation & Refund Policy in full.
